The Daytona 500 signals the start of the NASCAR racing season and it also reminds area race fans that the 2008 racing season in Western PA is scheduled to kick off in a few short weeks. The Lernerville Speedway season opener is scheduled for Friday, March 28th and when the TCB (Taking Care of Business) Racing Street Stock, driven by second year driver, Eric Piotrowski takes to the track Monte Cello’s of Cranberry will be on board as a sponsor for the 2008 racing season.
“I am pleased to welcome Joe and Vicki Savage, the owners of Monte Cello’s of Cranberry, and their entire staff aboard for the 2008 racing season,” stated Piotrowski. “I have experienced their hospitality first hand and I look forward to introducing Monte Cello’s of Cranberry to the fans at the Lernerville Speedway. I encourage area race fans to stop by the restaurant located at 30325 Perry Highway in Cranberry Township to enjoy the fine Italian dishes.” Monte Cello’s of Cranberry has been a Pittsburgh tradition since 1980 and they use on 100% pure mozzarella and provolone cheese in their dishes. Piotrowski gained valuable experience in 2007, which was his rookie season. As he enters his second year on the local racing circuit Eric is determined to improve upon his 19th place finish in the Advanced Auto Parts UMP Street Stock Divisional Points. “I gained valuable experience in 2007 and I am looking forward to a great year in 2008. With firms such as Monte Cello’s of Cranberry joining the TCB Team a top ten finish in the 2008 point standings is a definite possibility.”
The TCB Race Team has been busy putting the final touches on the sharp number 7 Street Stock as the car will be on display at the Clearview Mall Car Show (Butler, PA), which will be held March 13th through the 15th.
