The Annual Woodhull Raceway Car Show Shaping up to be the Biggest Ever!

Woodhull will be joined by Redline, Clinton County and the T3 All Star Series.

(Woodhull, NY) With the race season just barely one month away, the Annual Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show in Horseheads is shaping up to be the best ever with some 90 entries already in place for the event.

Organizers of the April 5 and 6, 2008 affair have had to put a cap of 90 cars on this years car show simply because of the limited space inside the Arnot Mall facility. “With all the additional kiosks located within the mall along with the fact that there just aren’t the available empty store fronts that we’ve had in past years, we’ve had to limit this year’s event to 90 and that is jamming them in there with a shoe horn. That according to host promoter, Vern Wasson of Woodhull and Clinton County. In some of the classes the cars are now much longer and wider then ever before also creating a shortage of available space. But one thing is for certain, the response to this years show has been overwhelming.”

A vast majority of the cars entered are Woodhull regular’s, however a good contingent of Redline Cars will also be on display including most of their Track Champions from 2007 including Brent Boyer, Mark Griffin and Nick Robinson. They will be joined near Center Court by Wayne Robertson, Kenny Peoples Jr., Ron Daily Jr., and Art Goodier all who won titles at Woodhull in 07.

“We had cars registering in mid-November last year hoping to beat the rush. After January 1, 2008 it was like somebody opened the flood gates. That once again is according to Wasson.

Cars and sanctioning bodies from such high profile touring groups as the T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars, the BRP 360 Late Model Division, ESS, Mid-State Vintage Cars along with the Regional Pro-Trucks will all be there and armed with schedule cards. Several of Woodhull’s sponsors will also have displays in various small store fronts throughout the Arnot Mall facility.

The deadline for registering is March 23 at 6:00 pm with no applications taken after that time. Additional details on how to register, an active list of registered drivers for this years show as well as a list of rules along with the 2008 Car Show Theme are just one click away at www.woodhullraceway.com.

Entrants are reminded that a mandatory meeting will be held at Center Court of the Arnot Mall at 8:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2008 at which time a location map will be given to each participant
