Thorold, Ontario (March 10) – While the Southern Ontario and Western New York Racing community are enjoying a bit of a meltdown after this past weekend’s snowstorm and everything gets caught up … DIRTcar provides us with updates to the 2008 Official Rule Book.
Sunday ended up being a ‘Snow’ Day for DIRTcar Promoters but not before a Rules Meeting took place instead of the scheduled all day Annual Spring Meetings in Weedsport. NY.
For DIRTcar Member tracks that had somehow made the trip to Central New York – 2008 Schedule Cards were distributed – and that included Merrittville Speedway!
Race fans and race teams alike can look forward to visiting any of Merrittville Speedway’s family of advertisers in the coming weeks for a full color pocket schedule that features the class of 2007 – the Dirt Weekly Racing Series Divisional Champions – Abel Castelein, (Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders), Paul Klager, (Lucas Oil Open Wheel Lites), Rob Murray (Hoosier Stocks), Chad Chevalier (Original Pizza Logs Sportsman) and Pete Bicknell, (L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modifieds).
Look for Merrittville Schedule Cards to be available as well when the Thorold ASI Group Blackhawks face the Fort Erie Meteors in the Junior B Playoffs at the Thorold Arena – Tuesday March 11th and Monday March 17th. If necessary, other home games are scheduled for Thursday March 20th and Sunday March 23rd.

The star studded 358 Modified Super DIRTcar Series Stars are set to challenge our home town heroes in the Spring Sizzler 100 Super DIRTcar Series presented by Baron Roofing.
April’s Event also includes a 40 lap event for the Sportsman and a 25 lap Street Stock Open Event.
With plenty of free camping – it puts Merrittville Speedway on the map as a must see event and it’s just the start of 2008 – you won’t want to miss a single event all season!
