(Woodhull, NY) Many of the former, current and potentially new drivers at the Woodhull Raceway all have one thing in common. Many of the top pilots that have had stellar careers on the high banked one-third of a mile clay oval came through the go-kart ranks and karting is still one of the best forms of Motorsports anywhere. Over the past decade, the popularity of go-karting in the upstate Region of New York has hit an all time high and for the second consecutive year the Woodhull Raceway will team up with Moe’s Karting World of Addison in an effort to better promote karting in the Twin Tiers.

Moe’s Karting World, located mid-way between Addison and Woodhull on Rt. 417 is a highly popular clay oval boasting kart counts of well over 100 each Friday night. Sunday afternoon programs draw approximately half that many making it one of the premier go-kart facilities in New York.

Likewise, the Woodhull Raceway can safely boast huge car counts and great fan attendance each Saturday night throughout the summer months and with both venues located a mere 6 miles apart there can be no doubt that many racers, fans and sponsors share in each tracks success.

Once again Moe’s and Woodhull will cross promote each others track and numerous ticket give-a-ways will await lucky race fans at both tracks on a weekly basis. In addition each track has a billboard promoting the weekly events at the other oval and there are numerous public address announcements each week at each track promoting each other.

In addition, the management of the Woodhull Raceway worked very closely with the representatives of the Arnot Mall in Horseheads to help Moe’s Karting World align them with their own car show to better promote go-karting in the Twin Tiers. This year’s event is scheduled for April 11-13 and already received a tremendous amount of exposure.

Moe’s will once again host the Second Annual Woodhull Raceway Night on Friday, August 1 where many of Woodhull’s top guns will slide into go-karts and duke it out on the 1/5 mile oval. Last years event was a huge success with most everyone that was in attendance still buzzing about a show that saw some 18 of Woodhull’s best get it on.

Several times over the year Moe’s Karting World will sponsor Dash for Cash events in the LaBarron Brothers Repair and Parts FWD Division as well as a Mini Stock/FWD Challenge event.

According to sources from both the Woodhull Raceway and Moe’s Karting World, “We have a very unique situation here where we can cross promote each other for the better of the sport. Over the course of the season numerous fans will be treated to a night of action at Woodhull compliments of Moe’s and likewise many of the Woodhull faithful will get to see what go-karting is all about by having a free night at Moe’s Karting World compliments of Woodhull. It is a win, win situation all the way around.”
