THUNDER SERIES TO OPEN 19TH SEASON WITH KEYSTONE CUP 410 SPRINT SERIES
WEDNESDAY, MAY 21

The nineteenth season of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing
Series will return to the Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA and
the Series opener is set for Wednesday night, May 21. On the program
will be the Keystone Cup 410 Sprint Championship, a 35 lap $5,000 to win
contest. Also on the race card will be the popular ARDC Wingless
Midgets. Gates will open at 5 PM with qualifying getting underway at
7:30 PM. Grandview Speedway will host the opening event of the Keystone
Cup Sprint Championship Series that will continue at Williams Grove,
Lincoln, Port Royal and the Selinsgrove Speedway. Fred Rahmer, Greg
Hodnett, Todd Shaffer, Chad Layton, Michael Carber, Niki Young and Alan
Cole are just a few of the 410 stars planning to run the series.

With plenty of high speed racing action planned for the 2008 Thunder
Series, this popular mid-week Series continues to offer fun for the fans
as well. Racers Roundtable, a locally produced racing-themed show
located on the dial at 90.3 FM, will be visible at all the Thunder Shows
as they introduce the Roundtable Girls. The Roundtable Girls will be
visible throughout the grandstand area, giving away special prizes and
of course, their presence will certainly "dress up" the always fun
victory lane ceremonies.

Racers Roundtable features local racing personalities and an occasional
national guest that airs from 6 to 8 PM every Sunday. Racer and radio
veteran Pete Knappenberger hosts the show along with PA 305 Sprint
driver Johnny Hagen, racing columnist Ernie Saxton who will provide
insight into the world of motor sports and Barry Angstadt, columnist
for AARN, will be part of the show adding focus on the numerous small
car divisions.
The Wednesday, May 21 Keystone Cup Sprint Championship Series event
will mark the eightieth Thunder show in the nineteen year history of
Thunder on the Hill. The Series will continue on Tuesday night, June 3
with the return of the USAC National Wingless Sprint Tour and yes, Fred
Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA will be in the field along with Billy Pauch,
driving the ZEMCO sprinter.
