When the Green Flag drop on April 27th the New Humberstone
Speedway in Pt Colborne, Ont. will begin to celebrate their 50th year
in
operation. Opening week will consist of the weekly series of te
Niagara
Auto Sales Pro 4 Trucks, 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks, Brian's Tire Repair
Street Stocks and the premiering DIRTCAR Cosco Haulage Sportsman. Also
part of the Humberstone regular classes are the Dirt Track Digest 360
Sprints and the Weekend Motorsports Pure Stocks.
Special divisions will include the NY Dwarf Car Association for 4
shows on May 18th, August 10th along with 2 Mod Lite Northeast Tour
events onJune 15th and July 13th. The Dirttrackdigist.com Lucas Oil
Shootouts will include 1 Sportsman event on July 6th which will be 50
laps as well as 2 events for the 358 Modiieds which will be June 22nd
and August 17th. The BRP Late Models will return once again on June
8th.
The Full fendered frenzy will continue as part of the All Canadian
Championships on August 3rd. For Sprint Car fans Southern Ontario
Sprints will commence at Humberston on June 29th and the ASCS Patriot
Sprints will return on August 24th. Twin 25s for the Brian's Tire
Repair Street Stocks on June 8th, July 20th. The DIRT CAR Sportsman
Tour
on September 7th which id the Trevor Wilkens Memorial. Also the Open
Sportsman Twin 50 laps on September 14
Speedway Owner Pete Cosco and brother Ron lost their Father Joe
Cosco during the off season and a 3 Race Series of Twin 20 are named
inhis Honor and they wll take place June 1st, July 27th and August 17.
Some added highlights include the Popular Mini Eve of Destruction
on
Mothers Day May 11th, School Bus Racing on June 22nd, Long Jump
contest
on July 27th, Rollover contest on August 31st as well as a Mini Van
Demo
on August 10th. A full blown Eve Of Destruction will take place on
September 21st.
Regular racing events will begin at 6:30m Sundays until School is
completed than the Summer startig time of 7:00 will take place. For
