JEFFERSON, S.D. (March 31) – Park Jefferson Speedway opens the new
race season with three IMCA divisions on the card for the Spring Thaw
special Friday and Saturday, April 4-5.
Modifieds race for $450 to win on Friday and $1,000 to win on
Saturday, making the second show a qualifying event for the Fast
Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars chase a top prize of $250 on Friday and $500
on Saturday, while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks vie for $150 on Friday
and $300 on Saturday.
IMCA national, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products state points
will be awarded both nights at Jefferson.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at
7:30 p.m. each evening. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors,
$3 for kids 6-13 and five and under get in free.
Rain date for the Spring Thaw is April 11-12. More information is
