LAKEVILLE, Minn. (March 31) How final points stack up regionally or
nationally will determine the recipients of QA1 Motorsports
contingency awards in five IMCA divisions again this season.
Awards given by the Lakeville, Minn., high-performance parts
manufacturer will be based on regional standings for the Modifieds,
Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks, and on national standings for the Karl
Chevrolet Northern SportMod and the Southern SportMod classes.
Prizes in each of the five Modified regions are $350 for first, $250
for second, $200 for third, $150 for fourth and $100 for fifth. Top
three finishers in both Stock Car regions, both Hobby Stock regions
and national points for the re spective SportMod divisions receive
$350, $250 and $150.
All drivers must compete with four QA1 shocks, display two QA1
decals, return a completed sign-up form by Aug. 1 and finish in the
top 20 regionally or nationally to be eligible.
To sharpen the focus of the QA1 program this season, it is important
for racers to recognize the product certificates are only good toward
shock purchases and will be selected from those drivers finishing in
the top 20, noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder.
