"Hot Foot" Jason Meyers excited to return to the road.

"HOT FOOT" JASON MEYERS EXCITED TO RETURN TO ROAD

World of Outlaws Return to Competition at I-55 Raceway

CLOVIS, Calif. (April 1, 2008) - While most drivers spent the last five weeks at home preparing for the 2008 World of Outlaw (WoO) season, Clovis, California native Jason Meyers spent the time off racing as much as he can, putting laps on his new KPC sprint cars, picking up a handful of wins along the way. As the series begins their trek back to the east coast, the talented group of drivers will make a Saturday night visit to Ken Schrader's I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri.

SHOOTING FOR VICTORY NUMBER THREE ON A YOUNG SEASON

After picking up two victories with the WoO early in the season, one in Florida and one in Phoenix at the famed Manzanita Speedway, Meyers headed home to pull down victories at the Mini Gold Cup at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway and one at the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, California. Heading into I-55 Raceway, Meyers is looking forward to the chance to make it two WoO victories in a row.

"We have put a lot of time and effort into making this new KPC car exactly what we want and when you combine that with Charlie Garrett power, we have an elevated level of confidence heading into I-55 and the rest of the Outlaw season," said Meyers from his home in Clovis. "We have been fortunate to be able to spend quite a bit of time racing close to home over the last month or so, which is nice for our local supporters, fans and families to be able to see us run some more."

A GOOD RUN AT TULARE--ALMOST

In his final race in California before returning to the WoO tour, Meyers blistered the field with a qualifying lap that was .3 seconds quicker than the second place car, ran fourth in his heat race, and came up with a sixth place Dash finish, which would line him up on the outside of the third row for the start of the feature event. Running second, making a play for the lead, Meyers tangled with a lapped car and had to pull in to replace his tire. Having to restart last on the field, Meyers was able to come up with a ninth-place finish.

"We had a great car and put ourselves in a position to battle for the lead, however when you get tangled with a lapped car, that changes very quickly," noted Meyers. "I have to give huge thanks to my guys as they got the tire changed and got us back on the track very quickly, in addition to giving me a car that allowed me to get back up to ninth place."
