MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 1) – A pair of early Frostbuster specials
get the new race season started this weekend at Marshalltown Speedway
and at Boone Speedway.
The doubleheader opens Friday, April 4 at Marshalltown and continues
Saturday, April 5 at Boone, with IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet
Northern SportMods, and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks on
both programs.
Modifieds vie for a top prize of $750 and a minimum of $100 to start
in their Chassis Challenge feature at Marshalltown, and for $500 to
win at Boone. Both Stock Car main events pay $400 to win, while both
Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock features pay $200 to win.
IMCA national, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products state points
will be awarded each night.
On Friday, pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5:30
p.m., hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
Admission at Marshalltown is $10 for adults and $2 for kids.
Pit gates open at 2 p.m. Saturday, the grandstands open and hot laps
start at 4 p.m., and racing begins at 5 p.m. Admission at Boone is
$9 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under and $2 for Godfather’s Kids
Club members.
Entry fees for each Frostbuster is $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stocks
and $20 for Northern SportMods and Hobbies. Pit passes are $20.
