SPRINTS AND SPORTSMAN FRIDAY-- FIRST OF SIX APRIL DATES

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- Although there is no Saturday Night Series
event on the schedule this week, the super sportsman cars will still
have an opportunity to race at Williams Grove Speedway when they join
the sprint cars on Friday night, April 4.
The sportsman portion of Friday night's program will be part of the
2008 sportsman tour sponsored by Sutliff Cadillac, Hummer and Sutliff
Saturn.
Sprint car racing will once again be the featured attraction this
week as the top drivers in the East compete for the Cindy Rowe Auto
Glass championship.
The first heat is scheduled to start at 7:30.
With cool temperatures still the norm, the 7:30 starting time will
remain in place for all Friday night races in April before switching to
8:00 in May.
This week's program will be the first of six nights of racing in
April at Williams Grove Speedway.
On Friday night, April 11, the sprint car teams will share the pit
area with the powerful late model stock cars. This will be the second
of three scheduled appearances for the late models at the Grove in 2008.
The Saturday Night Series will return on April 12 at 7:00 with
super sportsman cars, limited late models, street stocks and 4-cylinder
stock cars on the card.
The limited (358 c.i.) sprints will be back along with the sprint
cars on April 18.
The first Diamond Series event of the season is set for the sprint
car teams on Aril 25 with the running of the Tommy Classic.
There will be no support division for the April 25 sprint car program.
Another Saturday Night Series event will close the month on April
26. This time the sportsman, late models and street stocks will be
back, but the 4-cylinders will be replaced by a 50-lap enduro.
