After building us up with false hope all day, Mother Nature dealt a cruel blow with a band of rain showers at approximately 6:30 p.m. and the radar/satellite showed more, heavier showers on the way. As such, Lernerville Speedway General Manager Gary Risch Jr. canceled the event at 7:00, postponing Opening Night one more week to Friday April 11.
As I write and look over the 4/10 mile Action Track the fog is rolling in from the hills behind the back straightaway and now the rain has begun to pound the tin roof. The extended forecast does look promising for next Friday Night April 11, so hopefully the third time is a charm!
All four divisions of Fab Four Racing will be in action next week, the Commercial Truck & Trailer Sprints, Friedman’s Freshmarkets UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models, Ferrante Motor Cars DIRTcar Modifieds, and Advance Auto Parts UMP DIRTcar Street Stocks.
Also on the schedule in the near future is the first World of Outlaws event of the season. The Showdown in Sarvertown presented by Y108 will feature the Outlaws Late Model Series on Tuesday April 15.
