"Hot Foot" Jason Meyers picks up WoO win number three.

"HOT FOOT" JASON MEYERS PICKS UP WoO WIN NUMBER THREE

Crosses Line 0.156 Seconds Ahead of Dollansky

CLOVIS, Calif. (April 6, 2008) - Leaving his home state of California, Clovis native and World of Outlaws (WoO) driver Jason Meyers headed back towards the Missisippi River once again on his young 2008 season, looking at a bleak forecast, doubting they would be able to get the race in on Saturday night at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri. However the powers that be worked as hard as they could to prepare the surface of the high-banked 1/3 mile track, and were sucessful.

TWO POINTS OUT OF WoO POINTS LEAD-CAN JASON TAKE THE LEAD?

Heading into the Saturday night event at the raceway co-owned by Ken Schrader, Meyers was only two markers behind point leader Craig Dollansky in the WoO point standings. Having ran side-by-side with Dollansky for many laps in the early races of the season, Meyers had no reason to suspect that the event at I-55 would be any different. Knowing he would have to finish ahead of Dollansky to take over the point lead, Meyers was on his game.

"I'm glad we were able to get the event in the books tonight," noted Meyers. "I love this track and love the fans here, it's always a great place to come and race at."

NOT-SO-GOOD EARLY, BUT IT'S THE END THAT COUNTS

In qualifying, Meyers went out and set fifth-quick time, with an AMB i.t. time of 11.383 seconds, earning a single bonus point. Running fourth in his heat race, Meyers would line up ninth in the Crane Cams Dash, and by virtue of his eighth place finish, would line up on the outside of the fourth row of the A-Main event.

Passing four cars on the first lap, and taking third from Joey Saldana on the fourth lap, Meyers would lose the position only to regain it and vault himself into second on lap 23. In typical Jason Meyers fashion, he passed Dollansky coming off of turn four with a handful of laps remaining. As hard as Dollansky tried, he would not get back around Meyers and Meyers would earn WoO A-Feature win number three on the season, twenty-one of his career.

"Week after week, I have to give credit to my guys, DJ and Brian, as well as the guys at KPC and Charlie at Garrett's Racing Engines," said Meyers from Victory Lane. "Charlie builds us the best motors in the world and while we weren't good early, the guys kept working and working and put us in Victory Lane again tonight."
