Edge Racing Engines and Chris Rhodes would like to congratulate Thompson, PA’s Dan Stone for picking up the first win of the 2008 season for ‘Team Edge’ at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday March 22, the win was Dan’s third Port Royal Speedway opener win in a row.
Also making his way to victory lane was National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame member Lynn Geisler. Lynn picked up his 67th career win this past Saturday at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway and his first win since the 2006 season. “It was nice to get this win early in the season after being shutout last season,” Geisler said after his first win of 2008, “now we don’t have to worry about it the rest of the year. We were able to work our way through the field after starting seventh; catch Steve (Baker) and race with him side by side for a few laps. That is what really makes a race worth while.”

The 23 year old Saxton, PA driver is coming off of one of his best years behind the wheel. After capturing the 2007 Hesston Speedway track championship, the youngster has decided to expand his travels and compete for the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) AlturnaMATS® Rookie of the Year crown.
