CONCORD, N.C. (April 7, 2007) - The final night of the Circle K
Colossal 100 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday,
April
19, will begin with the Circle K Driver Autograph Party where the
world's
top dirt late model drivers will greet fans and sign autographs.
Hosted by Circle K, the 90-minute pit party starts at 4:30 p.m. and
will take place on the concourse under the main grandstand. All drivers
participating in the final night of the $50,000-to-win late model
spectacular are required to be on hand to meet the fans.
In order to gain admission to the Circle K Driver Autograph Party,
fans must present an event ticket along with an empty can of Full
Throttle
energy drink, which can be purchased at any area Circle K store. Once
inside
the pit party, each fan will receive a limited edition Circle K
Colossal 100
event poster.
Fans will also have the opportunity to register for a pair of unique
pre-race opportunities. One will be selected to serve as the race's
honorary
starter, waving the green flag to the start the 100-lap finale, while
another will be chosen to ride in a special pace vehicle.
The preliminary entry list for the April 18-19 Circle K Colossal 100
includes two-time event winner Scott Bloomquist and World of Outlaws
champion Steve Francis along with veterans Billy Moyer, Donnie Moran,
Tim
McCreadie, Shannon Babb, Rick Eckert, Shane Clanton and Earl Pearson
Jr.
The Friday night portion of the Circle K Colossal 100 features group
time trials and heat races. The top two finishers in each heat race
will
secure a spot in the 100-lap finale and a draw will determine the
starting
lineup.
Saturday night's program begins with the Circle K Driver Autograph
Party and the on-track action includes at least four additional
qualifying
races prior to the main event. The race is part of the World of Outlaws
Late
Model Series, but The Dirt Track's traditional format, including the
extremely popular Delaware-style restarts, will be utilized.
If purchased in advance, reserved tickets for both Friday and
Saturday nights are just $39 for adults and $10 for children ages 12
and
under. Two-day pit passes are $60 in advance.
