Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance: Eldora Speedway

WHAT
The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series makes their first of four visits to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio this weekend, for two full nights of racing on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12.
Craig Dollansky currently leads the championship standings over Jason Meyers by a single point. Meyers won his second consecutive A-Feature event last Saturday night at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri and has three wins on the year to lead the series. Dollansky and Meyers enter the events at Eldora as the only two drivers that have finished in the Top-Five in all five races in 2008. They both have won at the half-mile in the past.
WHEN
On Friday, April 11, the Pit Gates will open 3:00 p.m. Eastern, while the Grandstand Gates will also open at 3:00 p.m. Eastern and Hot Laps are tentatively set for 6:00 p.m. Eastern.
On Saturday, April 12, the Pit Gates will open 3:00 p.m. Eastern, while the Grandstand Gates will also open at 3:00 p.m. Eastern and Hot Laps are tentatively set for 6:00 p.m. Eastern.
WHERE
Eldora Speedway is located in Rossburg, Ohio. Travel 2.5 miles north of Rossburg on SR 118 (60 miles northwest of Dayton).
TICKETS
On Friday, April 11 tickets for those 16-over will be $25, with tickets for those ages 12-15 just $12, with children 7-11 only $6 and kids 6-under will be admitted free of charge.
On Saturday, April 12, tickets for those 16-over will be $25, with tickets for those ages 12-15 just $12, with children 7-11 only $6 and kids 6-under will be admitted free of charge.

Picking Up a Win: Terry McCarl won the Icebreaker Challenge on Sunday night at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska, where the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will compete on June 14. McCarl, who started on the pole, aboard the Mark Burch owned machine led every lap to pick up the win over Billy Alley. Also competing in the race was McCarls 15-year old son Austin.
Celebrating 30 Years: The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series continues its 30th anniversary celebration this season by highlighting a number of individuals that were instrumental during the 1978 inaugural season.
