Ankeny, Iowa (April 8, 2008) – On the opening night at I-70 Speedway, Chris Wright drove his GM Performance Parts 602 Crate Engine powered IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod to victory, winning the first IMCA Northern SportMod feature event of season on I-70 Speedways dirt track. In addition to the $200 pay day, Wright will also receive a $100 “Award Certificate” from IMCA Northern SportMod Title Sponsor, Karl Chevrolet.
Wright’s win utilizing a GM Performance Parts 602 Crate Engine was one of four Crate Engine wins in five events held this weekend in IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod competition. The additional wins came from Brett Moffitt (I-80, NE Speedway), Chris Abelson (Park Jefferson, SD Speedway ), and Luke Wanninger ( Marshalltown , IA Speedway ). The GM Performance Parts 602 crate engine continues to answer the call, providing the necessary power and reliability to get the job done.
In addition to their IMCA SportMod Title Sponsorship, Karl Chevrolet also awards any IMCA SportMod competitor who wins a feature event using a GM Performance Parts 602 Crate Engine purchased through Karl Chevrolet, with a contingency “Award Certificate” valued at $100.
“Winners of the Award Certificates can come into the dealership and use it to purchase parts, items from our Pro Shop, GM Accessories – they can even use it to toward the purchase price of a new vehicle,” states Carl Moyer , owner of Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny , IA.
