UNABLE TO OUTSMART MOTHER NATURE TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW
ROSSBURG, OH (April 12) - Eldora Speedway escaped Mother
Nature's fury Friday night to kick off the World of Outlaw Sprint Car (WoO)
doubleheader weekend, much to the dismay of race fans and teams alike.
However, round two fell to the weather, as on and off sleet showers Saturday
morning hampered track preparation, and with the forecast for more of the
same and temperature dipping into the 30's, Eldora and WoO officials huddled
and unanimously agreed to cancel the event for Saturday night.
Eldora now stands 1-3 on the season, with Friday's WoO winner
Craig Dollansky and Moser UMP Modified winner Jerry Bowersock as the sole
feature victors.
Attempt number four on the 2008 schedule takes place Saturday,
April 19, with the Sunoco American Late Model Series, Moser UMP Modifieds
and Advance Auto Parts Stock Cars.
