POST-RACE QUOTES & NOTES:

Donny Schatz, driver of the No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore/J&J for TSR:

¡§We finished one spot from where we wanted to be. I¡¦ve got to thank all the people at Eldora Speedway for their hard work. We¡¦ve had so many problems with the weather early this year, but they worked throughout the night to give us a good track. We knew we had a good car and plenty of Chevy power when we went out and set fast time. Moving forward in both our heat and the dash gave us a lot of momentum heading into the feature. We were hoping to have some long runs in the feature so we could use lapped traffic to our advantage. (Race leader) Joey (Saldana) was setting a pretty good pace. But once we started getting into traffic, I was coming to him and then we had a yellow. A couple of laps later, he had a tire problem, but (Craig) Dollansky did a really good job of getting me on the restart. I tried everything I could do to get back by him, but we came home second.

¡§(Crew chief) Ricky (Warner) and all the guys did a great job tonight. I don¡¦t want to sound like a broken record, but we¡¦re not satisfied with second-place finishes. We¡¦re going to keep working as hard we can to get this team to victory lane and that¡¦s our goal next week at Haubstadt.¡¨

Kraig Kinser, driver of the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/J.D. Byrider Maxim for TSR:

¡§The track was a different Eldora Speedway than I remembered. I hadn¡¦t raced there since they added the new dirt last year and it took us a while to get going. The track changed quite a bit during the night and we just didn¡¦t really ever catch up to the track. To start the night off, we didn¡¦t qualify well and that put us behind a little bit going into the heat race. Between the heat and the B-main, we didn¡¦t change a lot on the car. We started in the front and it was a lot better. When you¡¦re up front, the air is better and the car reacts better when it¡¦s clear. The dust wasn¡¦t as bad up front, either, and I was able to see really well in the B-main. We finished second and put the TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/Maxim in the A-main.

¡§In the A-main, I hit the wall early in the race and the car wasn¡¦t the same from that point on. Late in the race, the car bottomed out and I thought maybe a stop had come off and I brought it into the pits for Jimmy (Carr, crew chief) and the guys to check it out. I didn¡¦t realize that the Outlaws had a new rule in place from last year that prevents cars from being pushed back off if there are five laps or less left in the A-main. Had I known that, I would have definitely stayed out on the track. I thought we might be able to make it better and move up a few positions before the end of the race.

¡§I¡¦m looking forward to heading back to Tri-State Speedway later this week. I really like racing on fast bullrings. Hopefully, we¡¦ll have a good run and continue to move toward getting our first win the season.¡¨
