BRIDGEPORT LIMITED SPRINTS DASH INTO ACTION ON APRIL 26

BRIDGEPORT, NJ (April 13, 2008) - Popular with fans and
competitors at Bridgeport Speedway, the Bridgeport Limited Sprints will
make their anticipated 2008 debut on Saturday, April 26. The new motor
rules developed in the latter half of 2007 between speedway officials
and race teams have created a revival in this open wheel class. Tim Iulg
and Hank Trum are among the field of drivers looking to claim the 2008
Limited Sprint championship.
Big Block Modifieds, 358 Sportsman, GM Sportsman, Rookie GM
Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks will be in competition as well for this
blockbuster night of racing. In addition, the Garden State Vintage Stock
Car Club will have a display of restored stock cars and participate in
an exhibition race. Pit Gates will open at 3:00 PM, Grandstand Gates
open at 4:00 PM, Warm-Ups will begin at 5:15 PM and the first race will
start at 6:00 PM. General Admission tickets are $16 for adults. Kids 12
and under are admitted for free. Bridgeport Speedway Family Packs are
available for $55 and include 2 Adult Tickets, 2 Student tickets, 4
Hotdogs and 4 Sodas. Pit Admission is $25 with a license and $35 without
a license. There will be no racing at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday,
April 19.
Action on the inner 1/4 mile dirt oval continues on Friday,
April 18 at 7:00 PM. A complete program of heats, consolation events and
features will be on the agenda featuring 600cc Micro Sprints, 270cc
Micro Sprints and 4 Cylinder Stock Cars. In addition, the consolation
event and $500-to-win 25 lap feature postponed from April 11 for the
600cc Micro Sprints will be added to the race card. Gates will open at
5:00 PM. General Admission tickets are $13 for adults. Kids 12 and under
are admitted for free.
Billed 'The Fastest Dirt Track in the East', Bridgeport Speedway
is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval
embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just
minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
