Jason Meyers sees how tough Elite Racing is.

"HOT FOOT" JASON MEYERS SEES HOW TOUGH ELITE RACING REALLY IS.

Bounces
Back After Rough Night at Eldora Speedway

CLOVIS, Calif. (April 13, 2008)
- After dealing with the aftermath of the thousands of airline flights
cancelled this week, Clovis Calif. native Jason Meyers finally made it to the
great state of Ohio in preparation for Friday and Saturday night's World of
Outlaws (WoO) races at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Looking forward
to a repeat of the 2007 April
WoO event which Meyers won, everyone on the Elite Racing Team was concerned
about the dismal weather forecast for the weekend.

GREAT QUALIFYING RUN, BUT WHERE
IS MEYERS IN THE RUN-DOWN?

After a gray, rainy day, WoO
and Eldora Speedway officials were able to prepare the fast, half-mile track
for the first of several WoO visits to the famed high-banks. With the sun peeking
out of the clouds,
Meyers was slotted into the final hot lap session. After only a lap, Meyers realized
something
serious was wrong with his motor and made the decision to shut the power plant
down and pull off of the speedway. The
Elite Racing Team, led by crew chief DJ Lindsey, began to quickly comb through
the motor to try to find the problem, and quickly made the decision to pull the
motor out and put a new one in the car.

Missing his scheduled
qualifying slot, Meyers was faced with two consequences: only getting one lap
and not being able to qualify better than seventeenth place. Laying down a lap that
would have been second
quick, Meyers would have to finish in the top two in his heat race in order to
get a starting spot in the Crane Cams Dash, which would ensure that he would
start in the top ten of the A-Main event.

Making a late race pass to
finish second in his heat, car owner Guy Stockbridge pulled the number one pill
for starting position in the Dash event. With a half-straightaway lead, Meyers struggled
coming into turn four to
keep the car out of the wall on lap five when his right rear tire shredded.

Lining up tenth in the A-Main
event, Meyers was up to sixth place when he shredded his second tire of the
evening, bringing out the first caution of the event. Running in a four-car pack
for several laps,
Meyers would take advantage of several late-race cautions to finish eighth
overall on the evening.

"Not only was tonight
frustrating on several levels, but it was also very gratifying," noted
Meyers. "The team dug in hard tonight to
give me a great car, despite the problems that we had, leaving the ball in my
court to go out and dig even harder on the track."

Saturday's WoO event at the
Eldora Speedway was canceled due to inclement weather and freezing
temperatures.

Greetings!
For those of you who weren't at Eldora on Friday, you missed something that I thought
was pretty exciting. With all of the "issues" we had, DJ and Brian just kept digging
in harder and harder to give Jason the best car they could, and Jason subsequently
drove the wheels off of it!
I'm very much looking forward to going to Haubstadt this coming weekend. Last year's
WoO event there was one of the best features I saw in over 100 events last year,
so if you are anywhere close, make sure you stop by the new trailer and say hello!
Next week, we will begin highlighting a supporter of Elite Racing every week, similar
to what we did last year.
We are still making changes to our newsletter, so please continue to send comments
and well-wishes in! We love hearing from you.

Thanks for all of your support and we hope to see you at a track soon!
