Forestville, PA – April 20, 2008 – Nearly 70 cars were present for Sunday’s Nutty Buddy Enduro Series Race #1. Unfortunately, Mother Nature was the overall winner. After an early rain shower, a heavier storm started to strengthen its pace around 4:45PM. The end result left officials with no choice but to cancel.
To avoid scheduling conflicts with other enduro races, an announcement will be made as to the make-up date for this event. Stay tuned to the speedway’s official website of www.bigdiamondraceway.com for details.
The Enduro Series is a six-race event sponsored by Naftzinger’s Used Auto Parts and Detweiller’s 24 Hour Towing. Other race dates include May 11, June 15, July 13, August 17, and September 14.
Big Diamond Raceway continues with weekly Friday night racing this upcoming April 25. The Xcel Chassis 600 Modified Series makes their first trip of the season to the three-eighth’s mile clay oval. Xcel has a very busy 2008 schedule, as they are traveling to various tracks throughout the year.
The 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, and Roadrunners make this Friday’s program a special four-division show with no increase in adult general admission. Gates open at 5:00PM, warm-ups begin at 7:15PM, and the first heat goes green at 7:45PM.
