(Woodhull, NY) The who’s who list just keeps growing of competitors heading to the 5 Mile Point Speedway for this weekends T3 All Star Series event for the 358 Modifieds.

Add the names of Shippenburg, Pa. driver Bradd Rapp along with Addision, NY competitors, Bryan Terwilliger and Kenny Peoples Jr. to the ever growing list of top guns all heading to “The Point” for the T3 All Star Series opener on Saturday, April 26.

They join an impressive list of drivers including Dylan Dewert, Mike Colsten, Brian Swarthout, Mark Frankhouser, Chris Grbac, Chris Ostrowski, Joel Batzel, Ray Bliss Jr., Ron White, Dale Welty and many, many more of the northeast’s top 358 Modified plots.

In addition, Grant Hilfiger, Mike Schane, Frank Yankowski, Greg Doust and Fonda regular, Jimmy Davis have all sent in early application forms for what could be one of the largest fields of T3 All Star Series competitors in recent memory.

I’m really impressed with the early response that we’ve had for the series opener at 5 Mile Point, stated T3 promoter, Kenny Shupp Jr. I know there will be a bunch more Woodhull cars there as well as the 5 Mile and Penn Can regulars. But, what really has my attention are guys like Frankhouser, Rapp, Grbac and Davis making the three, four and five hour hauls just to be a part of this show.

In addition to the winners share of $1,500 for the 40 lap feature event a hefty purse will be paid along with tow money for non-qualifiers. On top of that approximately $1,500 or more in contingencies has been posted for this event which will be distributed to numerous different racers.

ISC Racers Tape is offering free duct tape to every driver that pays the $10 registration fee and Calaman’s Radiator is giving deep discounts to registered drivers as well. In addition any driver that registers at 5 Mile will receive unbelievable discounts on the next bead lock wheel purchases at Red’s Speed Shop in Scottsville. All of this just for being a part of the 5 Mile show.

An open practice session will be held from noon until 3 at which time the pits will be emptied and racers can re-enter for the T3 All Star Series event sponsored by Troyer Race Cars. Practice for the Night cap starts at 5:00 pm with racing at 6:00 pm.

Sunday, April 27, 2008 will be used as a rain date if weather on Saturday becomes and issue.
