Car Show Scheduled for April 26th at Independence Motor Speedway Cancelled

The car show scheduled for opening night at Independence Motor Speedway (IMS) has been cancelled. According to Three Wide Promotions President, Brian Lillie, a combination of rain soaked grounds and construction have forced the cancellation. “We’ve had so much rain, that the area we intended to use for the car show is unusable at this point,” said Lillie. “Plus, the grounds are under construction, making ready for new seating, so we’ll have to try again next year on the car show.”

IMS, as previously released last week, is in the process of working with the Buchanan County Fair Board to open the 2008 racing season towards the middle to latter part of May.
