Rick Glass Pure Stock 50 to Open 2008 Sharon Speedway Season

Hartford, OH April 22, 2008 "Buckle Up and Hang On" as the Sharon Speedway kicks off the 2008 racing season this Saturday, April 26th, with the first annual Rick Glass 50 Pure Stock Extravaganza. The Pure Stock Division will take center stage that weekend as the area's top drivers compete for the $1,200.00 to win prize.

The Pure Stock Division will be the only division in competition this Saturday. The evening will begin with time trials for the division with heat events and B-Mains to follow. In addition the drivers will compete in a Dash and an Australian Pursuit for additional prize money. The Rick Glass Pure Stock 50 Feature event will close out the racing card.

Pit gates for this event will open at 3:00PM with the Grandstand gates opening at 4:00PM. Qualifying will begin at 5:00PM. Adult admission for the Rick Glass Pure Stock Extravaganza is only $7.00 with tickets priced at just $5.00 for children ages nine to 13. As always admission for children eight and under is free.
Pure Stock drivers are reminded that there is a $25.00 pre-registration fee if they enter prior to race day. Registration will be $30.00 on race day.

Race fans are invited to come out to the track early as several drivers from the Speedway's other "Fantastic Five" Divisions will have their cars in the Fantastic Zone. This special "Meet and Greet" will allow fans of all ages to get driver autographs as well as a closer look at the race cars.
