Doug Gross Construction and Insinger Performance to sponsor the May 10 special event.

(Woodhull, NY) Saturday, May 10 will be a night to remember as Doug Gross Construction of Painted Post, NY along with Insinger Performance of Dushore, Pa. will sponsor the annual running of the Scott Dennison Memorial for the NAPA 360 Late Model Division at the Woodhull Raceway.

Last year the Wonderling Brothers made a clean sweep of the top three positions in a performance that still has many of the Woodhull faithful buzzing. However, in 2008 it could be a different story as many of the top 360 Late Models pilots in the northeast will be converging on Woodhull for this unique event all of them gunning for the Wonderling trio. This season will find Mikey Wonderling piloting the potent Jim Schuyler #57j machine at Woodhull.

Like they have done for the past several years, Larry Knowles, his family and staff members of Doug Gross Construction will be pumping additional money into the nightly 360 Late Model purse including numerous cash incentives and they will be joined by Bruce Insinger and his staff of Insinger Performance of Dushore, Pa. Insinger is the official Torco Racing Fuel supplier of the Woodhull Raceway as well as the T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds. Knowles, who was a special guest several weeks ago on the Woodhull Raceway Report weekly audio cast on the tracks web site, spelled out how Dennison was an employee of Doug Gross Construction at the time of his untimely death during a 4 wheel ATV exhibition at the Woodhull Raceway in 2004. It is in his memory that Knowles and his employees at Doug Gross continue to support this prestigious event.

For Insinger it will be their first of two nightly event sponsorships at Woodhull in 08.

Past winners of the Scott Dennison Memorial include Kenny Peoples Sr. in 2005, Rich Marlatt in 2006 with Brady Wonderling visiting victory lane in 2007.

Fans will be treated to what is expected to be a stellar field of the mighty 360 Late Models as there is no other track within a 100 mile radius of Woodhull running the full fendered NAPA 360 Late Model Division on May 10.

Also on the card it will be a Regular show of the L.J. Kennedy Trucking 358 Modifieds, the S&W Awards and Photos Crate Sportsman, the Morgan’s Auto Repair Street Stocks along with the Signs Plus Mini Stocks and the ever popular LaBarron Brothers Repair and Parts Front Wheel Drive Division.

Gates for the May 10 event open at 4:30 with racing at 6:30 pm. and as always for more information simply go to www.woodhullraceway.com.
