THREE CONSECUTIVE SATURDAY NIGHT SERIES EVENTS BEGINNING APRIL 26
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series featuring the super
sportsman cars will return to Williams Grove Speedway on April 26.
The first heat is scheduled to start at 7:00.
The sportsman division sponsored by Sutliff Cadillac, Hummer and
Saturn appears to be as competitive as ever this season with some young
lions already finding victory lane.
Paul Miller's win on opening night was just his second career
victory at Williams Grove and Mike Enders was the class of a 38-car
field when he scored his first Grove triumph on April 12.
Although he has yet to visit victory lane this season, defending
series champion Frankie Herr has been very competitive with two top-five
finishes.
In addition to the sportsman cars, this week's program will also
include limited late models, street stocks and a 50-lap enduro.
Gene Knaub has taken the early lead in the A.J.'s limited late
model point standings with second and third place finishes to his credit
after just two races. It seems inevitable that Knaub will find victory
lane again as he did on three occasions in 2007.
Kory Sites scored his 8th career victory in street stock
competition on April 12 and will be a favorite again this week..
April 26 will mark the first of three consecutive Saturday Night
Series events at Williams Grove.
In addition to the sportsman and limited late model divisions, the
street stocks will be back on May 3 and May 10.
The 305 c.i. sprints will replace the 4-cylinder stocks on May 10. |
