MICHAEL, COYLE & ELY LEAD RISLONE URC POINT SERIES AFTER THREE EVENTS
With three events complete on the Rislone URC Sprint Series, Curt
Michael is once again on top of the URC point chase. A five time URC
Champion and winner of the last four consecutive titles, Michael is no
stranger to winning a URC title. The question remains, is Curt hungry
enough for a sixth URC Championship? Driving the Bill Gallagher owned
Valley Forge INC 5g sprint car, Michael is looking to deliver his new
car owner their first ever URC title. Also in the title chase is Chris
Coyle of Wilmington, DE. Coyle is looking for his first ever URC
Championship and he's in the best position of his career to pull it off.
Key sponsor BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports has jumped into sprint car
racing in 2008 and his choice of drivers was Chris Coyle. Ranked second
in points and just three races into the season, this chase is far from
over. Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA is a seasoned veteran of the sprint car
ranks, a former URC Champion (2003) and a nine time URC feature winner
and I'm sure his focus is winning the title as well.
Looking deeper into the standing, Brian Seidel is fourth in point just
one point behind Ely. Now ranked fifth in the point chase is Becca
Anderson, driver of the Bar's Leaks sponsored #17. Anderson is red hot
off a strong and exciting third place feature finish at New Egypt on
Saturday night. Anderson was by far the most exciting driver of the
night, running so high that one would think she was looking for a front
row seat in the grandstands. And the fans loved it.
Robbie Stillwaggon is off to a strong start ranked sixth in points
followed by Randy West, Davey Sammons, Ed Aikin an Jason Clauss. JJ
Grasso, the "Jersey Jet" had another impressive run at the New Egypt
Speedway, a track that is quickly becoming his favorite stop on the URC
trail. Davey Sammons delivered a great run Saturday night as well,
finishing a strong second place finish in the Palladino Motorsports #99.
