The Bedford Valley Petroleum Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event paying $7000 to win has been rescheduled for July 31st at 7PM. This re-scheduled event is now a companion event with the Lucas Oil Series races at the Winchester Speedway on August 1st at 7PM and the Lucas Oil Series race at Hagerstown Speedway on August 2nd at 7PM.
An evening shower that simply added more water and moisture than expected was taking longer to get the great track in a safe racing condition and beat the community curfew. Every effort was made to get the track in shape and get the event ran in a timely manner. "We simply could not pull this off with heavy air, a light drizzle in turn 4, darkness and no wind. We were so excited to have over 60 late models in the pits and we wanted to run this race for the tremendous fans, JR Keifer (Bedford Speedway Promoter) and his staff that endured the late evening showers, "said Lucas Oil Series Director, Ritchie Lewis
