MIDDLETOWN, NY (April 30)……..On Saturday, May 10, all Boy and Girl Scouts, Brownies and Cub Scouts in uniform and the ir leaders will be admitted free to the weekly auto racing program at Orange County Fair Speedway. “Scouting has always been a great citizenship builder. But it’s good fun, too. We’re happy to have all the scouts, both boys and girls, as our guests,” says track operations manager Ken Sands. Scout groups are asked to inform the speedway office of the ir troop number, home town, and leaders’ names so that the y may be recognized during the evening.
Four racing divisions---Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stock, and Pure Stock---will be in competition at the historic Middletown track on Scout Night. Sponsors for the evening of speed are Dave’s Racing Collectibles and SKJ Towing. Racing begins promptly at 6:00pm.
General admission for Scout Night is $15.00. Discount coupons good for $2 off general admission tickets are widely available at locations throughout the region. Seniors age 60 and up and students 13-17 get $2.00 off General Admission tickets. Children 12 and under are admitted free. All fans are reminded that an open seating policy is in effect for most events this year. Only season ticket holders have reserved seats which are clearly marked. Parking on the Fairgrounds remains free.
Ticket prices in the unique Drive-In area are the same as General Admission, plus $1.00 for parking. The parking fee goes towards the Orange County Fair Speedway Drivers’ Point Fund.
Advance ticket sales and additional track information is available at the Track Office. Call 845-342-2573 during business hours, or check the official OCFS website www.ocfsmotorsports.com
