Williams Grove Speedway cancels Saturday May 3rd Show
Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Approaching inclement weather forced the management of Williams Grove Speedway to cancel the May 3 Saturday night racing. This is the second consecutive week that the Saturday night racing at Williams Grove has fallen victim to bad weather.
The Autograph and Camera Night scheduled for May 3rd will be held on May 31st.
Next week the 305 Sprint Cars will be added to the Saturday night action at Williams Grove Speedway. The 305 sprints will join the Sutliff Auto Group Super Sportsman, the AJ’s Truck and Trailer Center 358 Late Models and the L.B. Smith Ford Street Stocks. The racing action begins at 7 p.m.
There is a tie for the lead in the Sutliff Auto Group Super Sportsman points. Frankie Herr and Carmen Perigo Jr. are tied for the lead with 500 points. Scott Dellinger is third in the points with 440, followed by Derek Locke with 410 and Gregg Foster with 390. Paul Miller and Mike Enders won the two Williams Grove Super Sportsman features.
In the AJ’s Truck and Trailer Center 358 Late Models, Gene Knaub leads the way with 520 points. In second is Tyler Armstrong with 460 and Mike Walls is third with 450. Derrick Zirkle is fourth in the point chase with 440 and fifth belongs to Jared Miller with 430. Tyler Armstrong and Bruce Kane claimed the two feature wins.
Kory Sites leads the L.B. Smith Ford Street Stock standings with 300 points. Jim Salisbury is 30 points back in second. Rodney Clouser, Doug Hoffman and Dave Motter complete the top five in points. Kory Sites won the lone Street Stock feature. |
