Midwest All Star Series Revises “Tennessee Stampede” Dates

CAMARGO, IL(05-03-08) by Robert Cortum - Midwest All Star Series.

The O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series will be making their debut at two
high banked facilities in Tennessee in 2008. Previously slated for May
9^th and 10^th , the 2008 "Tennessee Stampede" has been rescheduled to
July 18^th and 19^th . Postponement of the events came in light of
concerns for the track’s preparedness to put on a sprint car show with a
safe racing surface with heavy rains soaking the area much of the month
of April.

First up will be the high banked Western Tennessee Motorspeedway near
Jackson, Tennessee. WTMS promoter and event coordinator, Scott Ross is
excited about bringing the hard hitting 850 horsepower machines to his
backyard.

“We really wanted to bring these cars into Tennessee. The Midwest All
Stars are a unique bunch of drivers that fight every lap for that
checkered flag,” Ross stated. “They are really going to be able to put
on a great show for the fans on these high banks.”

From there, the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series will travel east to
the famed Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee. Traditionally a
modified and late model facility, Thunderhill is most known for its wide
surface and high banks. Track promoter Wayne Burns is equally excited
in anticipation for a great event.

“We typically get some great action here at Thunderhill. As a former
driver of this track, I can recall being 4 abreast while in the turns at
speed,” Burns exclaimed. “I am hoping to see, and I think these guys
will, defiantly break the track record when they qualify, it should be a
great show for everyone.”

On board for the “Tennessee Stampede” in the form of hotel support is
the Days Inn in Holladay, Tennessee, just a few short miles from WTMS.
For reservations, call the front desk at 731-847-2278 and ask for the
Midwest All Star Series special.
