"Fantastic Five" Racing Action Returns This Weekend!!
Hartford, OH May 2, 2008 "Buckle Up and Hang On" as "Fantastic Five" racing action gets underway on Saturday, May 3rd, at the Sharon Speedway.

The quest for the 2008 Points Titles begins as all five divisions: Warren Harley-Davidson 410 Sprint Cars, Gibson-Governor Big Block Modifieds, Tom's Sewer and Drain Service E-Mods, Tight -Seal Glass Block Pure Stocks, and the Limited Sprints will be in action.

The 2007 Warren Harley-Davidson Sprint Car Champion Bob Felmlee already has a feature victory in 2008 and will be gunning for his second consecutive divisional championship. The Franklin, PA driver will face stiff challenges from Ed Lynch Jr., Dan Shetler and Mike Kekich. In addition youngster Russ Sansosti, who was definitely the division's "Most Improved" driver in 2007, is hoping to pick up his first career feature win this season.
Gibson-Governor Big Block Modified action will find drivers such as Brian Swartzlander, Rex King Sr. and Jim Weller Jr. hoping to dethrone 2007 Champion Del Rougeux Jr. Southington,OH driver Jim Rasey, who is sporting a new color scheme (black instead of white), will also be in the hunt for the title. Rob Curtis, Rob Kristyak and teenager Rex King Jr. are also expected to challenge for the title!!

The Tight Seal Glass Block Pure Stock Division will crown a new "King" as 2007 Champion Steve D'Apolito, has moved to the Fastrak Late Model Division. Alan Dellinger may be the early season favorite to capture the 2008 crown as he dominated the season opening Rick Glass Pure Sock 50. Allan Hudzik, Tim Burns, Stan Woomer and Bruce Redman also looked strong in last week's opener at the Speedway.

Howard "The Duck" Fraley set out to capture the 2007 Sharon Speedway E-Mod Title and his 14 top ten finishes enabled him to achieve that goal. The Farmdale, OH driver also captured his first career feature victory last August. Will "Lady Luck" once again enable Fraley to capture the Tom's Sewer and Drain Service E-Mod title or will he be unseeded by a fellow competitor?

Guy Griffin captured his third consecutive Limited Sprint Title in 2007. Griffin tallied an impressive seven feature victories and 14 top five finishes en-route to the title. "Young Guns" Jason Scoville and Brandon Spithaler enjoyed their first tastes' of Victory Lane and will definitely be looking to dethrone Griffin in 2008. Jim Morris, Nick Miller and Andy Paden will also provide Griffin with some very formidable competition.
