Rain the last two weeks has forced the management of Penn Can Speedway to make some changes to the previously announced schedule in order to get rained out features into the books. The first of the changes comes this coming Friday for the modified division. The STAR Series race has been moved to Friday May 30th and replaced by the rained out modified race from May 2nd along with another full modified show of heats and a second thirty lap feature event. The late models, sportsman, and pure stocks are also on the schedule. Added that night will be a regular four cylinder event plus the first appearance of the 600 modifieds.
The May 23rd Memorial Weekend event will feature the ARDC Midgets sponsored by Burke Trucking. Joining the midgets will be the modifieds and sportsman who will run regularly scheduled events along with a super stock/pure stock challenge event. Late models have been added to the holiday card along with two 4 cylinder features. (Make-up event from 5-2-08 .)
The final night of schedule adjustments comes May 30th. The STAR Series for the modifieds will be held along with double late model features. Sportsman, super stocks, pure stocks, and 4 cylinders will also be in action.
