The Hart brothers continued their domination of the Autoworks of Ithaca Sportsman division at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle NY on Friday night with Don Hart Jr. taking home his second feature win of the season. Hart slipped under Kenny Hammond entering turn three to take the lead on lap 2. Hart had maintained a comfortable lead until a lap 11 caution bunched the field for a restart. After another caution on the first attempt at restarting the race Rodney Hart drove under Eddie White to move into second place. Rodney was unable to get by Don for the remainder of the race and settled for a second place finish. Don crossed the line in first with Rodney second, Eddie White third, Brian White fourth and P.J. Goodwin finished fifth.
Sean Lias continued his unbeaten season in the Hunts Auto Service IMCA Modified division by winning his fourth consecutive feature. Tommy Eiklor jumped out to the early lead with Jerry Lobdell in pursuit. On lap four Lobdell got by Eiklor to take the lead. Lobdell's lead didn't last long as on the next lap Sean Lias drove by and led the remaining laps of the race. Lobdell finished second, with Dave Barrows third, Chris Fleming fourth and Tommy Eiklor fifth.
Buck Mills and Mike Wilbur brought the Hunt's Auto Service Hurricane Street Stocks to the green flag for their 20 lap feature. Mills took the early lead with Steven Deinhardt in second. Deinhardt got past a slowing Mills on lap 7 with Jason Rhodes in second, Butch Green in third, Billy Rampe in fourth and Mike Wilbur fifth.
With Deinhardt and Rhodes out front,. Rampe was getting pressured by Green until the checkered flag fell. Deinhardt captured his third win in four races with Jason Rhodes finishing second, Billy Rampe held on to third with Butch Green fourtha and Mike Wilbur fifth.
Nick Griest continued his winning ways in the Road Bandit division by sticking to the bottom of the speedway. Ray Oakley was the early leader until Griest got by on lap four. Jeremie Hale Sr. and Oakley battled for the second spot with Gary Kinne watching and waiting for an opening in fourth. On the seventh lap Kinne passed Oakley to move into third. At the finish it was Nick Griest picking up his third win in four races, Jeremie Hale finishing a season best second. Gary Kinne crossed the line in third with Ray Oakley fourth and Beezer Wilke fifth.
In contrast to all of the other divisions,.Rick Frisco became the first repeat winner in the highly competitive Road Warrior division. Once again it was Frisco and the El Camino of Paul Lockwood battling for the win. While there were only two lead changes neither driver was ever able to open up more than a car length lead throughout the race. Frisco grabbed the lead that he never relinquished on lap 11. Lockwood finished in second with Mark Andrus third, last week's feature winner Jake Rowlston in a borrowed ride finished fourth with Harold Walburn crossing the line in fifth.
