Racing Optics Joins Brad Doty Classic

Limaland Motorsports Park welcomes Racing Optics, the makers of laminated tearoffs, to join in on the fun as the heat race sponsor during the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series sanctioned 20th Annual Brad Doty Classic at Limaland on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in Lima, Ohio.
"Racing Optics is the best tear off on the market and I sure wish they would have had these back when I was racing. Drivers can use 20 or more Racing Optics tear offs and see better then looking through 2 or 3 of the conventional type" said Brad Doty.

Along with the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) "$10,000 Clean Sweep Bonus" dedicated race fan Jim Valentine and his daughter Nicole, who have donated "Fast Time Money" for several years, have upped the payout to $500.00 for the 20th Annual Brad Doty Classic.
The UNOH $10,000 Clean Seep Bonus" is where all drivers competing in the 20th Annual event are eligible for the $10,000 bonus, which will be paid to any driver who can set fast time, win a heat race, win the dash, and win the 40-lap A-main.

With the race paying out over $50,000 in prize money and the winner already receiving $10,000, there is now a possibility that the event champion could have a $20,500 payday for winning the 20th running of the Brad Doty Classic.

Jac Haudenschild won the Brad Doty Classic in 2007, leading all 40 laps, with 20-time World of Outlaws champion Steve Kinser in second. Jason Meyers was third followed by Craig Dollansky in fourth and Brooke Tatnell in fifth. There have been 18 different drivers to win the Brad Doty Classic, dating back to the inaugural event in 1989, with Danny Smith being the only two-time winner. The 2008 racing season will mark the 11th year that The University of Northwestern Ohio has owned and operated Limaland Motorsports Park, which is in its 73rd year of hosting racing. This will mark the seventh visit by the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to what is one of the most highly regarded tracks on the schedule. In the previous six events at the ¼-mile, four different drivers have visited the winner's circle.
