WORLD OF OUTLAWS - WILLIAMS GROVE RIVALRY CONTINUES MAY 15-16.

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The World of Outlaws will sanction a two-day
event sponsored by Cleveland Brothers at Williams Grove Speedway on
Thursday and Friday evenings, May 15-16, and the greatest rivalry in
sprint car racing will continue.
The Outlaws will be led by defending series champion Donny Schatz
of Fargo, ND, who has won five of his last seven starts at Williams
Grove including a $50,000 victory in the 2007 National Open.
Other drivers on the WoO roster who have won at this historic
speedway in the past include Steve Kinser, Jac Haudenschild, Tim
Shaffer, Danny Lasoski, Joey Saldana, Craig Dollansky, Terry McCarl and
Daryn Pittman.
Although he has never won a WoO race at Williams Grove,
Mechanicsburg's Lucas Wolfe, now a full-time traveller, is certainly a
threat to win this week. The 21-year old Outlaw rookie already owns
eight victories at the track where he started his sprint car career five
years ago.
Despite the success Outlaw drivers have had at Williams Grove, the
Pennsylvania Posse will again provide formidable opposition.
Twelve of the top 25 in the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass point standings
own victories in races sanctioned by the World of Outlaws at Williams
Grove or at other speedways around the country.
Those drivers include Brian Leppo and Chad Layton, who defended
their home turf in 2007.
Other Grove regulars with WoO wins include Fred Rahmer, Greg
Hodnett, Mark Smith, Todd Shaffer, Lance Dewease, Doug Esh, Jeff
Shepard, Don Kreitz, Jr., Craig Keel and Keith Kauffman.
Both Thursday and Friday night competition will include time
trials, qualifying heats, a dash and a B-main
Thursday night's feature will be 25 laps and will pay $8000 to
win. Friday's feature will be 30 laps and will pay $12,000 to win.
Qualifying will begin at 7:45 on Thursday and Friday.
