BROCKVILLE-The 2008 racing season is now less than a week away at Brockville Ontario Speedway. Drivers got their first experiences on the reconfigured track surface on Saturday afternoon during a special practice season to rave reviews. The track has been widened significantly, by 60 feet in the turns and also progressive banking has been introduced making for a faster and more exciting experience for drivers and fans alike.
The season opener is set for Saturday, May 17th at 7pm with Mulder's Machine and Welding celebrating their 20th year of operation by backing the lidlifter of the year. Things get started at 4pm for early bird fans who would like to meet and greet with their favourite drivers. Once again, the Beast of East will feature four divisions on a weekly basis, the 358 DIRT Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, Street Stocks and Rookies. The vintage class will also make frequent appearances at the track beginning on May 24th |
