Brewerton NY - By Dave Medler - This Friday night at the Brewerton Speedway the IMCA Modifieds will take center stage as the run the Dean Hubbs Memorial Race. Also on the Card will be the DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, ESDCA Mod-Lites, Four Cylinder Super Stocks and Four Cylinder Enduros.

So far in the 2008 season the talk amongst fans, drivers and crews is the track conditions and how there are multi-grooves from the first green flag to the final checkers on the night. To the credit of Jeremy Corcoran look for that to continue through out the season.

In the Big Block Modifieds can anyone knock Billy Decker in the Gypsum Wholesalers, No.91 out of victory lane? So far Decker has found victory lane three times in his return to the "D-Shaped Dirt Demon".

With Alan Johnson, defending track champion Willy Decker and Matt Sheppard in competition every week don't look for the rest of the season to be a cake walk for the high flying Decker.

Rob Keller is setting the early season pace in the IMCA Modifieds with two wins. Kevan Cook as always is a constant threat when he hits the track. Mike Chilson, Bill Anderson and Rich Keller are thrid through fifth in the points.

Defending track champion and national IMCA points runner Dale Caswell picked up the win on opening night. Since then mechanical gremlins have got Caswell. Look for the Caswell team to figure it out and be back challenging for wins.

Lowell Zehr leads the highly competitive ESCDA points as he looks to pick up win number two on Friday night. Joe Garafalo, Tim Devendorf, Doug Williams and Terry Lapham are within striking distance of Zehr in the point stands.

Even though Williams sits fourth in points, he seems to be hitting his stride as he has two wins at the speedway and also grabbed the victory last Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway.

In the Four Cylinder Super Stocks Claude Hutchings Jr., who is splitting his driving time between the Super Stocks and Rookie Crate Sportsman Modifieds on Saturday at Fulton Speedway, leads the points with two wins. The always tough Chuck Powelczyk is second in points, Glen Erwin, Sam Curcie and Matt Fay complete the top five in points.

Gates open this Friday at 5:30 with the first green flag at 7:30. General admission is Adults 15 and over $12 - Children 10 - 14 $5 - 9 and under-Free. Pit admission $20 DIRT Members - Non Members - $25. For more information call Art Halliday at 315-730-3044 or visit the track website at www.brewertonspeedway.com
