BASS PRO SHOPS INCREASES 358 SPONSORSHIP
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- As if 358 c.i. sprint car racing wasn't
exciting enough at Williams Grove Speedway, Bass Pro Shops just upped
the ante.
Through the sponsorship of Bass Pro Shops a Hard Charger award has
been instituted for the 358 division.
The driver who improves the most positions from his original
starting spot will receive a cash bonus from Bass Pro Shops.
The Bass Pro Shops Hard Charger award will be in place for the
remaining eleven 358 races on the Williams Grove schedule beginning May 30.
Eight of the races will pay $100 to the hard charger.
Three races will pay $125 to the driver who advances the most
positions. Those three races include Kids Night on August 1, the 358
championship on August 8 and the Billy Kimmel Memorial on August 31.
In the event of a rainout, the Hard Charger money will be added to
the next scheduled 358 race.
Remaining dates for the 358s include May 30, June 20, June 27, July
11, July 25, August 1, August 8, August 31, September 5, September 12
and October 3.
Bass Pro Shops assumed title sponsorship of the 358 division prior
to the start of the 2008 season and has also announced that an
additional $575 in bonus money will be added to the point fund.
"With such sponsorship incentives in place for the 358 division
thanks to Bass Pro Shops, we feel the teams will continue their
tremendous support of Williams Grove Speedway," said general manager
Justin Loh.
The 358s have been averaging 43 cars per race this year.
Williams Grove Speedway is located ten miles south of Harrisburg
off Rts. 15 or 74.
Bass Pro Shops is located at 3501 Paxton Street in Harrisburg.
