Sarver, PA (May 16, 2008) The First Commonwealth Bank Clash went off with a hitch Tuesday Night despite the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series’ much documented issues with weather this season. It appears, however, that the Outlaws infected the Action Track before they left, as it has been raining at the speedway for the past 12 hours. As such, the parking lots are like a swamp and the pits are ready for a mud bog!
The radar and hour-by-hour forecast did not give General Manager Gary Risch Jr. any optimism that the weather would improve enough throughout the evening to get the show in. So, at 12:00 p.m., he declared the cancelation of Fab Four Racing for Friday May 16. Unwired Inc. and Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Night will be rescheduled in the near future!
Of course the Outlaws have not yet shaken the rain bug themselves, as this evening’s Outlaw show at Williams Grove has also been postponed and is now scheduled for tomorrow evening. Log on to www.DIRTVision.com to listen to the Action from “The Grove” tomorrow night @ 7:00 p.m. DIRTvision will also be broadcasting tonight’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series event from Attica Raceway Park.
Join us next Friday May 23 for Fab Four Racing on Import Export Tire Night. Coming soon to the Lernerville Speedway is the 08 Modified Tour on Ferrante Motor Cars Night, Friday May 30.
This Sunday May 18 is Buffalo Twp. Community Days at Lernerville Speedway. Come check out displays from local businesses and organizations from 10-5, admission is free and concessions will be available!
