IMCA Modifieds, Southern SportMods chase
$1,000 top checks at North Texas Nationals
BELLS, Texas (May 17) – IMCA Modifieds and Southern SportMods both
chase top prizes of $1,000 at Grayson County Speedway’s North Texas
Nationals next Saturday, May 24.
The special doubles as a qualifying event for the Fast Shafts All-
Star Invitational ballot for the Modifieds and all applicable IMCA
points will be awarded for the two sanctioned divisions.
Both features will be 25 laps with a minimum of $100 paid to qualify.
Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. The drivers’ meeting is
at 6:30 p.m. with hot laps to follow. Racing starts at 8 p.m.
Entry fee is $50 and pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $15
for adults, $10 for seniors and students, $10 for children, $5 for
kids under the counter height and two and under get in free.
The North Texas Nationals was changed from a two-day format, promoter
Greg Cooper explained, to reduce travel costs for drivers and fans,
as well as at-track fuel costs for competitors.
