Forestville, PA – May 16, 2008 – A strong weather system that moved into the Northeast early Friday morning bringing rain and dampness with it caused the postponement of the highly anticipated T-102 Pack The House Night at Big Diamond Raceway. "My partners and I waited until after noon time today to make a decision because at one point we became optimistic that the rain would stop, but just as we did Mother Nature decided to soak us with another steady shower over the speedway and that ended any thought of racing this evening . commented Buddy Biever."
Management will be looking to reschedule the annual T-102 Pack The House Night as soon as a date is agreed upon.
In other speedway related news, plans were finalized to bring the Limited Late Models to the speedway on July 20 along with the BDR Sportsman and Roadrunner classes racing a point show that Sunday. "The main reasoning for the sportsman cars and roadrunners being switched from the Friday night card and onto the Sunday program is due to the strong car counts that the three BDR divisions have been bringing as well as that of strong URC car counts, we don't want to be fighting time issues all evening and still give the fans what they came to see. The Friday July 18 show will now consist of only the 358 Modifieds joined by the URC Winged Sprint cars." stated Buddy Biever.
