HANFORD, Calif. (May 17) – The IMCA Modified driver reigning over the
inaugural RV FCP/96.1 special at Kings Speedway will take $1,000 home
from Hanford.
As a bonus, the winner of the 30-lap Saturday, May 24 feature joins
the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invi tational. The field of
candidates for that event, to be held during the IMCA Speedway Motors
Super Nationals in September, now numbers 72.
IMCA national, ButlerBuilt Western Region, Smiley’s Racing Products
State and local track points will be awarded. Sponsors of the Kings
special are Fresno RV, Clovis RV, Pismo RV and 96.1 Sports News of
Fresno.
Pit gates open at 2 p.m. The grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m., hot laps
are at 5:30 p.m. and the first heat is at 6:30 p.m. IMCA Sunoco Stock
Cars are also on the holiday weekend card.
Grandstand admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6-14,
with five and under admitted free. Pit passes are $40.
