CORTLAND, N.Y. (May 18) – A pair of holiday weekend events kick off
the World Products Empire State Series for IMCA Modifieds.
Opening night in the seventh annual tour is next Sunday, May 25 at
Skyline Raceway in Cortland. Woodhull Raceway hosts the Monday, May
26 Memorial Day show.
Pit gates and the grandstand at Skyline open at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps
are at 5:45 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. Pit passes are $30.
Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and
students 10-14, with nine and under admitted free. More information

Woodhull opens the gates and grandstand at 2:30 p.m. Hot laps are set
for 4:15 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $20. Grandstand
admission is $11 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for students 8-12 and
kids seven and under get in free. More information is available by

IMCA national, ButlerBuilt Eastern Region, Smiley’s Racing Products
State and special series points will be awarded for both shows.
Dale Caswell of Central Square is the two-time defending series
champion and won four features, includ ing the Woodhull event,
enroute to the 2007 title.
Westfield, Pa.’s Sean Lias also owns two Empire State crowns, from
the 2003 and 2004 seasons, and leads all drivers with a dozen career
tour wins. Four of those victories have come at Skyline; his first of
two checkered flag runs at Cortland last year was also Lias’ 200th
IMCA Modified feature win.
