Weedsport, NY – May 18, 2008 – By: Dan Kapuscinski, Cayuga County Fair Speedway PR and Promotions Coordinator
Persistent showers throughout the central New York area have forced a cancellation of the Sunday, May 18 “Petrol-Palooza Night” at Cayuga County Fair Speedway.
“It has been a wet weekend in central and western New York and I think we were fortunate to have had racing last night at Canandaigua,” said DIRTcar Northeast General Manager, Jack Deery. “We had numerous passing showers in the mid-afternoon in Weedsport, and none of the weather reports looked promising at all. We’ll be ready go though for next weekend’s big show.”
Next Sunday, May 25 Ferris Mowers presents the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series “Hall of Fame 76” for DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds. Race time is set for 7pm with the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, and Midstate Vintage Modifieds also on hand.
Tickets will be made available at the gate. Adult admission stands at $20, seniors (65 & older) $18, kids (10-14) $5, children 9 and under are FREE.
