Susquehanna, PA…Penn Can Speedway in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania lost both attempts to race this weekend when both the originally scheduled Friday night program and the Sunday rain date were both victims of the rain. The speedway staff will now regroup and get ready for the first special event of the season to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend when the cars and stars of the American Racing Drivers Club midgets come to the speedway this Friday. The mighty wingless midgets will be joined by Penn Can’s own modifieds, late models, sportsman, super stocks, and 4 cylinder stocks in a SPEEDFEST of great racing excitement. Don’s Automotive Mall of Binghamton is the sponsor of this big holiday weekend special.
The second rain out of the season now forces minor changes to the speedway schedule. The make-up modified feature from May 2nd will now be rescheduled for Friday June 6th. This Friday the modifieds will run a regular show and on May 30th the STAR Series for modifieds will be on the schedule paying $2000 to win. The pure stocks will also be added to the June 6th show.
