Perris and Thunderbowl host 3 way CRA point battle.

PERRIS, TULARE HOST 3-WAY CRA POINT BATTLE

Three drivers separated by only 69 points will battle in a pair of USAC/CRA Sprint Car races in California this weekend.

Saturday night’s “Salute to Indy” Power of Purple Finale at Perris Auto Speedway will be followed by Sunday night’s racing program at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare. A 40-lap feature tops the Perris action, while a 30-lapper is on tap at Tulare.

Former CRA Champion Cory Kruseman of Ventura, Calif. leads Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. by 22 points, while Blake Miller of Yorba Linda, Calif. is 47 behind Spencer.

Kruseman has three wins this year, all at Perris, while Spencer won a race at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Ariz. Miller scored his only 2008 win in Las Vegas, Nev.

Kruseman, Spencer and Miller finished 1-2 3 in this year’s CRA debut in February
