Mike Paz, BATAVIA, NY (May 19, 2008)- Genesee Speedway in Batavia, NY was once again forced to cancel racing activities Saturday, May 17, at the Genesee County Fairgrounds facility just outside Batavia NY.
For the third time in 4 race weekend attempts, cold temperatures, wind and periods of rain prevent racing from taking place at the Genesee County Fairgrounds Oval. Once again, the rainout was called well in advance to save everyone the bother of the inevitable.
“It’s not a decision that’s easy to make nor do I like making it,” said speedway Promoter Mike Lauterborn. “No one wins in situations like this. We’ll just have to try again next week.”
Kerry Ball Motorsports and Totem Pole Smoke Shop & Gas was scheduled to present the SUPER 6 RACING - FOAR SCORE NIGHT $2 OFF WITH FOAR SCORE CARD” racing program.
This Saturday, May 24, Batavia Sign Company and Lauterborn Electric team up to present the Super 6 Racing Card. Racing will begin at 6:00 p.m.
