Rain and cool temperatures forced the speedways in Western PA and Eastern OH to cancel racing action on May 16th, 17th and 18th so Rob Curtis and the entire Curtis Race Team are more than ready for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. “We were disappointed with our eighth place finish in the Sharon Speedway opener,” stated Curtis. “Jeff and Carlin Hines of Hine Racing Equipment reviewed the setup we used and made several adjustments. I value their input and am confident that with the changes they recommended we can improve upon last week’s finish and put the OhioCAT/HRE/Troyer at the front of the field.”
“I also want to encourage local race fans to come out and take advantage of two terrific offers at the Sharon Speedway this Saturday,” continued Curtis. “Admission for residents of Ashtabula County, OH and Mercer County, PA is just $5.00 and Sharon Speedway owner Dave Blaney has lowered the Grandstand Admission to just $9.00 for all others. As the cost of fuel and other necessities continues to increase it is great to see a business owner give a little back to his patrons!!”
Rob and the Curtis Race Team will also compete in the BRP /Hoosier Race Tires Modified Tour Opener at the Tri-City Speedway on Sunday, May 25th. “This is the event where my bad luck began last year and I am determined to go back to the Franklin , PA oval and ‘beat the demons’ that took the wind out of our sails,” said the Greenville , PA driver. Fans who are unable to attend the Tri-City show can tune into all of the action at www.dirttrackchannel.com. The broadcast is free and will begin at 7:45PM .
